The Kalamatian Carnival returns after a 3-year stop due to the pandemic. The programme of the 10th Kalamatian Carnival is rich, with many events, concerts and surprises. The groups are already preparing. Participation declarations continue, and the interest so far is recorded as intense.
The opening ceremony of the carnival events will take place on Friday, February 10th, on the 23rd of March Square, with the event's presenters being Elena Konstas and Sotiris Karamintzas, while a concert by the "The Swingin' Cats" band will follow.
On Thursday, February 16th, 2023, at noon, there will be a folk festival with the "Sound of the South" band, and on Saturday, February 25th, at 8:00 p.m., the night parade is scheduled, which will be followed by a party with well-known DJs.
