Spread the word

The photo exhibition entitled "Testimonies - Views", 1971 - 2021 Doctors Without Borders and Magnum, 50 years in the field, held on the occasion of the completion of half a century of life and work of the international medical humanitarian organisation, Doctors Without Borders, travels to Kalamata and is hosted by the Municipality of Kalamata and the Public Benefit Enterprise "Faris".
The exhibition will be hosted from June 27th to July 30th, 2022, in the foyer and courtyard of the Kalamata Dance Megaron with the support of Captain Vassilis and Carmen Konstantakopoulos Foundation.
The 50th anniversary of Médecins Sans Frontières is an opportunity for a retrospective photo exhibition that captures through the lens of the Magnum Photos agency the most important stations in their history. This report is reminiscent of some of the greatest humanitarian crises, their testimony and their action from 1971 to the present. The result is as much narrative as it is visual.
The exhibition "Testimonies - Views", 1971 - 2021 Doctors Without Borders and Magnum, 50 years in the field, includes indicative photos from the first actions of Doctors Without Borders in a war zone in Lebanon in 1976 until the crisis in Rwanda in 1994, the war in Syria in 2011, the great earthquake in Haiti in 2010, the battle against Ebola in Africa and the COVID-19 pandemic around the world.
