The 7th Peloponnese International Documentary Film Festival is looking for helpers for the shooting of a short film, which will take place from June 22nd to July 4th, in Kalamata, as part of a seminar taught by the Italian director and founder of the Street Film School, Tekla Taidelli.
Those who register will help either in the production part of the film or by holding some roles (accomplices, etc.).
Street Cinema School is an original and unique school founded in 2013 by Tekla Taidelli, an underground director, and, as its name suggests, recruits actors from the street!
It is aimed at thinking young people who want to create through this art and have the courage to get involved, interacting with people on the street, giving them the opportunity to make a short film, a unique experience that "speaks" with famous lyrics.
Taidelli herself, after all, claims that she has a mission: to "give a voice to the invisible" to those people whose "voices are not heard", either because of circumstances or because of social, economic, political position. The means to hear the voices of the "invisible" are the texts of famous writers and poets: Shakespeare, Bukowski, Kerouac and others.
The thematic conception for the seminar that will take place during the 7th Peloponnese International Documentary Festival is, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution, the presentation of poems from the collection "Poetry in the shape of a rose" by Pier Paolo Pasolini "poet of freedom", by fishermen of Kalamata and other ordinary people who will be recruited from the street.
Who is the seminar aimed at?
The seminar for the Street Film School is addressed to the students of the Fine Arts School, filmmakers and the young people of the area. Students will enrich their knowledge in screenwriting, directing, photography and editing. The seminar aims to make a short film, of such quality, that can be sent to a film festival and then uploaded on the Internet, with minimal means, in almost two weeks. The film will be screened at the closing ceremony of the 7th International Peloponnese Documentary Festival.
This intensive workshop will take place from June 22nd to July 4th, in Kalamata, with daily lessons from 09:00 in the morning until 19:00.

It is emphasized that the seminar is open to the public for auxiliary positions and accomplices and is addressed to all ages. To participate, those interested can contact the Festival office by phone at 27210 22376 (office hours) or e-mail at [email protected]
