Gynaecologist surgeon-obstetrician Dimitropoulos Spyros maintains a practice in Athens and another one in Kyparissia.
He is a graduate of the Medical School of the Kapodistrian University of Athens. After his field service and one-year training in General Surgery at the General Prefectural Hospital of Kyparissia, he went to Great Britain in 2000.
There he completed his Obstetrics - Gynecology specialisation working in prestigious Hospitals of Central England while in 2002 he obtained the diploma of family planning (DFFP). After a rigorous selection in a national competition, he was hired as a B 'curator at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire in 2004.
As part of his continuing education, he practised and specialized in colposcopy under Charles Redman's guidance, director of the Hospital Oncology Centre and head of training of the British Colposcopy Society (BSCCP).
He dealt with a large number of difficult cases at the Clinic, contributed studies to the development of the BSCCP guidelines, coordinated the clinic at an organizational level and in 2006 received certification from the British Colposcopy Society for both the diagnosis and treatment of cervical diseases. In 2008 he received the certification from the Hellenic Society of Colposcopy. At the same time, he is an instructor at the Annual European Seminar on Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology held at IASO Hospital.
He specialized in laparoscopy and hysteroscopic surgery and gained extensive experience in the laparoscopic treatment of most gynaecological problems and the investigation of infertility and the treatment of incontinence.
In Obstetrics, he was involved and performed high-risk pregnancies while he is an advocate of normal childbirth even after a previous caesarean section under certain conditions. The great experience he gained, both in monitoring pregnancy and childbirth, allows him to make the right decisions at the right time and to carry out even the most difficult births successfully.
In the United Kingdom, he worked as Curator A and in 2008 he became a member of the College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in London (rcog.org.uk).
Along with his office in the centre of Athens, he is the curator of the colposcopy department of the Iaso Maternity Hospital.
