"Olympic Champion Kostis Tsiklitiras" Pylos Sports Club 

The Pylos “Olympian Kostis Tsiklitiras,” Athletic Club, widely known as Tsiklitiras Pylos, is one of the most historic football clubs in Messenia. Founded in 1968 in honour of the great Pylian Olympic champion Kostis Tsiklitiras, the club has been closely associated with the football history of Pylos ever since.

With red and black as its traditional colours, the club has achieved several notable successes, including winning the Messenia Cup in the 2014-15 season and completing the Double, winning both the Championship and the Cup in the 2015-16 season. During the 2014-15 season, the team also reached the semi-finals of the Greek Amateur Cup.

The club was dissolved in 2021, but its legacy continued. In 2024, it was re-established as A.O. Tsiklitiras Pylos 2024, beginning its new journey in the Third Local Division of Messenia.

With a strong presence, significant achievements and the enduring support of the local community, Tsiklitiras Pylos remains an important part of the sporting identity of Pylos.
