The Venetian and Frankish rule,is quite long and great in the history of this region,as well as the castles that have been preserved since then are also large-great and imposing. In the whole western coastline from Kyparissia to Koroni,you may spot 5 of them with Niokastro of Pylos and Bourtzi of Methoni to be considered the most impressive and well preserved.
