On Sunday, June 29th, 2025, the Panhellenic Developmental Sand Wrestling Tournament will be held at Bouka Beach in Messina.
We invite you to be there, enjoy the sun and the sea and get to know the sport of sand wrestling up close.
For the umpteenth time in our prefecture, we invite you to discover the ancient sport of wrestling, inextricably linked to ancient Greek civilisation, as it evolves on the sand in a Panhellenic developmental tournament.
A tournament that will host Greek champions, as well as athletes from ARISTODIMOS who have distinguished themselves with medals in national championships and international distinctions.
Sand wrestling is a sport that is vying for a place in the Olympic Games. At the same time, the World Wrestling Federation (UWW) promotes it worldwide through world, European, Mediterranean, and national championships.
The Greek Wrestling Federation is also on the same line, promoting this spectacular, coastal sport with national championships and tournaments.
Aristodimos, participating in its dissemination and with the beaches of Messinia seeming ideal, organises the BEACH WRESTLING CUP, which will include the name of the occasional sponsor and will take part every year, highlighting the beauties of our place, financially strengthening the local community with the sports tourism that follows these events.
