Kalamaki is a lowland village situated 32 kilometres from Kalamata and just 5 kilometres from Petalidi. It is a tourist destination where visitors can find tourist accommodation, as well as taverns with local, traditional dishes.
The village's beach is well known for its fine sand and turquoise waters. However, what makes it unique is the rusty wreck of an old ship relatively close to the coast.
