Arfara Historical and Folklore Museum

The Historical and Folklore Museum is located in Arfara, 18 kilometres from Kalamata. It is housed in the building of the Arfara Cultural Centre (former Niarchos Liotrivi) and was inaugurated in August 2019. The museum was created by the Renaissance (Anagennisi) Cultural Association.
Visitors can admire dozens of traditional objects, such as tools, workshop equipment, looms, sewing machines, traditional costumes, and dowry items. Impressive are also representations of old houses' interiors and furniture. All the objects record and present the history of Arfara and the broader area.
