What is worth keeping alive in your place? | Climate Action Workshop for Cultural Heritage
In every community, small or large, places, objects, stories and habits deserve to be kept alive.
They constitute our cultural heritage, but they often go unnoticed and remain vulnerable, from air pollution and climate change to the absence of documented recording.
On Saturday, June 28th, we are starting a new joint effort together:
At the Takis Katsoulidis Engraving Museum, the first workshop for creating the Atlas of Memory and Atmosphere will be held. Together, we will open the discussion about what is worth saving and showcasing through the narratives and eyes of the residents themselves.
The workshop is the first phase of the project. The recording and analysis of the material will follow, and a third phase will involve searching for solutions to strengthen the places' resilience.
The event is open to residents, collectives, organisations, educators and anyone who cares about their place.
The event is held within the framework of the "Climate Action for Heritage" project, with partners Villages in Action @villagesinaction, Nostos Cooperative @nostos.land, the Kalamata Environmental and Sustainability Education Centre @kpekalam and the Institute for Environmental Research & Sustainable Development @IERSD.
