The small, picturesque village of Militsa, with its well-preserved houses, is built at an altitude of 295 meters. It is 12 km from Finikounda, 22 km from Koroni and 52 km from Kalamata. It has about 70 permanent residents, while it stands out for its natural beauty.
During the Revolution of 1821, the village was a fortress of the Greeks who tried to stop Ibrahim and his troops.
