3rd Traditional Dances Gathering

On the weekend of September 14th and 15th, 2024, the 3rd Traditional Dance Competition will take place at the Municipal Railway Park of Kalamata (skating area), with the participation of 17 dance clubs from Messenia. This is the third consecutive year that the Municipality of Kalamata has honoured the traditional dance clubs of Messenia in a dance meeting of almost 500 dancers in the Municipal Railway Park, with people enjoying dances from all over Greece. The events are part of the cultural programme of the Municipality of Kalamata and the K.E. Faris.
The evenings will start at 19:30 with a Folk Song by the amateur artist of the folk tradition, Anneta Georgoulopoulou. Afterwards, the traditional dance clubs will present themselves to the public with dances from all over Greece.
