Kalamata Mountaineering Association-Cleaning of the "Biliovos" cobblestone path 

One of the most beautiful cobblestones in Greece and one of the most important monuments of this kind is Biliovo. It is located on Mount Kalathi next to Kalamata. It connects the villages of Sotirianika with Altomyra and passes through a forest for a large part while climbing the rocky slope of the mountain. The Ministry of Culture also classified it as a monument.

In an effort to highlight and save this critical route and monument, the mountaineering associations EPOS Fylis, EOS Kalamata, and the cultural association of Sotirianika ¨O Biliovos¨ in collaboration with the EOOA are calling for voluntary cleaning of the path - cobblestone path.

In addition to being in contact with this beautiful area, participants will have the opportunity to contribute to nature, culture, and history and experience unique teamwork and hospitality.

With the support of the Hellenic Mountaineering and Climbing Federation, the clubs that make up the federation are given the opportunity to take action together on this severe issue: opening, cleaning and promoting our paths. It will be an opportunity for cooperation, exchange of practices and experiences.

The cultural association of Sotirianika, which will host and support the event, will provide valuable assistance in this action. In general, we consider the participation of local communities in maintaining the paths to be vital.
