On Friday, August 4th (at 21:00), one of the leading ancient tragedies, “Oedipus Tyrannus” by Sophocles, is presented at the Kalamata Castle, directed by Simos Kakalas with Yiannis Stankoglou in the title role and Marilita Lampropoulou in the role of Jocasta.
Production: “Iasmos Theatrical Events”.
With them a group of significant actors: Yiannis Dalianis, Christos Malakis, Giorgos Amoutzas and six more actors. The musician on stage is Fotis Siotas, who has also composed the performance’s music.
The translation is by Giorgos Blanas, the sets by Yiannis Katranitsas, the movement by Sofia Paschos, the lighting by Alekos Giannaros and the masks’ design (a structural element of the play) by Martha Fokas.
