Diadelfi Islet
The Diadelfi rocky islet is located south of the uninhabited island of Sapienza, the second largest island of the Messenian Oinousses after Schiza. Specifically, the rock islet is in front of the historic lighthouse of Sapienza, built in 1885 by English technicians (at Queen Victoria’s request).
Diadelfi is one of the most photographed Greek landscapes that adorn domestic and international photo albums of the Greek islands. This fact is due to its unique shape that resembles a heart. Of course, visitors cannot easily see this particular shape; only aerial photographs reveal the unique and wild beauty of the rocky island.
