Methoni Beach

Methoni beach is located in the picturesque town of Methoni (61 kilometres from Kalamata).

It is sandy in one part, while it is covered with pebbles on its eastern side. Visitors can enjoy their swim with a view of the islet of Sapienza and the Castle of Methoni (one of the most important monuments of Messenia). The crystal-clear waters of the beach have been awarded the Blue European Flag.

Finally, the visitor can find taverns, cafes, bars and plenty of tourist shops on the road along the beach.
