Poetry on Stage!
Poets, performers, and anyone who writes poetry and feels the need to give voice to their words are invited to participate in the Poetry Slam organised by the Messenian Writers' Association. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026, at 8:30 PM, at Trilogia Café-Restaurant, located on the Kalamata seafront. Everyone is also welcome to attend and enjoy an evening of live poetry filled with energy!
What is Poetry Slam?
Poetry Slam is a spoken-word poetry competition. Each participant has 3 minutes on stage to perform an original poem. A randomly selected jury, drawn from the audience, will score each performance based not only on the text itself but also on its delivery and interpretation.
The Rules of the Game
- Poems must be your own original work.
- You have exactly 3 minutes to perform.
- Musical instruments, props, and costumes are not allowed.
- It's just you and the microphone.
- There are no restrictions regarding theme or style.

Interested participants may register until Friday, June 5th, 2026.
Participation spots are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
