A special event dedicated to the knowledge of nature, herbs, and traditional healing practices is being organised by the Meligalas Women's Association in collaboration with the SITO Network, inviting the public to an evening of learning and hands-on experience.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 27th, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., at the Maria Callas Cultural Centre, with free admission for all attendees.
Throughout the event, participants will have the opportunity to attend presentations and practical demonstrations on topics related to natural cultivation, traditional knowledge, and herbal medicine. The program includes:
- The Magical Cycle of Seeds, highlighting the importance of preserving and reproducing traditional plant varieties.
- Introduction to Herbal Medicine, exploring the properties and uses of medicinal plants.
- Preparation of a Healing Beeswax Ointment, featuring a practical demonstration of how natural ingredients can be used in everyday care and wellness.
The guest speaker will be Christina Karaleka, who will share her knowledge and experience on herbs, seeds, and natural healing practices.
This initiative aims to bring people closer to nature, promote the value of traditional knowledge, and raise awareness about the sustainable management of natural resources and a holistic approach to health and well-being.
