hardcore echoes-Presentation

On Sunday, 20th September, at 20:30, the Kalamata Dance Megaron’s Main Stage will host an open presentation of Ioanna Paraskeopoulou’s artistic research, titled hardcore echoes.

The research unfolds through the collection of personal experiences of people who worked in professions and crafts that are now declining or have already disappeared. Through the gathering of various materials, including archival photographs, interviews, audio recordings and letters, the choreographer explores the relationship between performance and manual labour.

The presentation is part of Inside Time, the artist residency programme of the Kalamata International Dance Festival, supported by the Ioannis F. Kostopoulos Foundation. The programme aims to foster research and the creation of new artistic work through dialogue and direct engagement with the local community.

Meanwhile, the selection process for proposals for the third Inside Time residency programme is currently underway. The selected proposal will be announced at the end of September.
