Heterotopia Project-Three Days on Degrowth, Mother Earth & Governance
Spread the word
From May 8th to 10th, the Heterotopia Project opens a three-day cycle of gatherings, discussions, book presentations, music, and collective experiences centred on degrowth, land, community, and direct democracy.
On Friday, the program begins with a live performance by Aploi Theates, along with a collective kitchen, creating an evening of connection, music, and shared presence.
On Saturday, the program continues with a double book presentation of works by Giorgos Kolempas and Giannis Billas, “The Anthropological Type of Degrowth-Localisation” and “On the Community of Communities.” The discussion, with Giannis Billas and moderated by Vasilis Kokkotis, opens up a substantive conversation on degrowth, communalism, and the possibilities of alternative forms of social organisation.

On Sunday morning, activities move to Foifa Farm for an open day dedicated to Mother Earth, Care, and Community. With activities for all ages, creative practices, free play, food from the land, and an open discussion in nature, the gathering invites a rethinking of our relationship to care, collectivity, and place.
The three-day event concludes on Sunday evening with a discussion on the constitutional and political question, grounded in the perspective of degrowth and direct democracy, alongside individuals and collectives actively exploring alternative ways of organising, coexisting, and living freely.
Three days dedicated to community, land, freedom, and mutual aid.
