The night sky of Kalamata reveals its secrets in a special event taking place on Friday, March 27th. The 8th Primary School of Kalamata, in collaboration with the Astronomy Club of Kalamata, invites both children and adults to a unique “Astronomy Night with Telescopes.”
The evening is designed to combine knowledge with hands-on experience, starting early in the afternoon:
19:00: Arrival
19:15 – 20:00: Lecture titled “The Vast Universe.” An introduction to the wonders of space that will set the stage for observation.
20:10 – 22:00: Sky mapping and observation. With the help of specialised telescopes, attendees will have the opportunity to closely observe the impressive craters of the Moon and the majestic planet Jupiter.
The event will take place at the premises of the 8th Primary School of Kalamata. As noted by the organisers, admission is free for everyone who wishes to explore the world of astronomy and view the universe from a different perspective.
Tip: Since the observation will take place outdoors, visitors are advised to dress appropriately for the cool spring evening temperatures.
