Christmas in Kalamata-All Events

Kalamata is entering a festive mood, with a multitude of artistic events planned for the city and the Communities during this year's festive season.

The Christmas tree of the Municipality of Kalamata will be illuminated -weather permitting- on Friday, November 28th, 2025, at 8:00 PM, in the Central Square, followed by a concert with Giorgos Tsalikis, as announced today at a press conference at the Kalamata City Hall. The central square of Vasileos Georgiou hosts the decorated natural Christmas tree that exceeds 20 metres in height.

The events will begin tonight with the lighting of the tree in Kalamata's Central Market at 7:00 PM.

On Sunday, November 30th, 2025 at 6:00 PM, the Christmas boat will be illuminated at the Kalamata Port Quay with the melodies of the Kalamata Municipal Conservatory choir, while on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 at 7:00 PM, the Christmas tree will be illuminated at 23rd March Square with the participation of the Kalamata Municipality K.E.FARIS KDAP, while we will enjoy Christmas melodies from the Kalamata Municipal Philharmonic.
