The Kalamata Mountaineering Association will be hiking Mount Egaleo on Sunday, February 8th. The Kyparissia Mountains (or Mount Egaleo) offer panoramic views of the Ionian Sea and are an essential natural landscape of the area, with the route starting in the village of Mouzaki (410 metres above sea level). After passing the peak of Agia Kyriaki (1060 metres), it will end in the village of Christianoupolis, where we can visit the emblematic church of Metamorfosi and the running waters in the village square. The route is mainly through oak trees.
Difficulty level: 1+ (easy, good physical condition required).
