The Kalamata Mountaineering Association are organising an excursion to the villages of Eastern Taygetos and the Mills Gorge on Sunday, November 9th, 2025.
It is a fantastic route where you will encounter fir trees, chestnut trees, plane trees and ruins of the old Georgitsian watermills. A route with dense vegetation, a gentle downhill of 9 km, that moves next to the river with wooden structures that facilitate the passage of the gorge, where it will end in Kastori, in the picturesque village square for rest.
Difficulty level: 1 (easy, suitable for everyone).
