Seven mountain ranges, countless forest-covered peaks, and a wild, labyrinthine landscape define Mountain Nafpaktia, a region of approximately 550 square kilometres stretching north of the beautiful town of Nafpaktos. Scattered among endless forests of firs, beeches, oaks, and chestnut groves, more than 40 villages form one of the most impressive mountain settlements in Greece.
The old mountain paths that once connected the villages are still accessible today, leading hiking enthusiasts deep into a landscape of unmatched natural beauty, carved by shaded ravines, gorges, and crystal-clear streams. The waters of the Evinos River and the calm surface of Evinos Lake add their own enchanting touch to the scenery.
