Emergency situations that may arise within the school environment will be the focus of a special scientific session, highlighting the importance of their prompt recognition and effective management. Through specialised presentations, distinguished experts will share current knowledge and best practices for incidents requiring rapid intervention in students and school settings.
The session will be chaired by Pediatric Surgeon Eleftheria Efstathiou, Internist Nikolaos Gkioulos, and Surgeon Panagiotis Giannopoulos. The programme includes presentations on anaphylaxis and asthma attacks by Allergist Emmanouil Sifnaios, epileptic seizures by Pediatric Neurologist Minas Kapetanakis, diabetes mellitus and hypoglycemic emergencies by Pediatric Endocrinologist Aristotelis Panagiotopoulos, and bleeding control and wound management by General Practitioner Ilias Mandilaris.
The session commentary and discussion will be led by Chara Kyriakopoulou and Efi Theodorakopoulou, contributing to the dialogue on the prevention and management of emergencies in school environments. The session is expected to provide valuable knowledge and practical tools to enhance student safety and health protection.
The event is organised by the Medical Society of Messenia in collaboration with Congress World and will be hosted at the Horizon Blu Boutique Hotel in Kalamata. This initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to promote scientific education and advance knowledge in healthcare, bringing together distinguished medical professionals and the wider community.
