Fraction-"I Want a Country" by Andreas Flourakis
Spread the word
The “Fraction” theatre group returns with its new theatrical production, “I Want a Country” by Andreas Flourakis, directed by Giolika Poulopoulou, in October 2025 at the Kalamata Philharmonic Amphitheatre.
“How did it all fall apart?” is the common question of the characters in the play, who realise that they live daily in an uncertain present and an even more uncertain future. With their only request, “I Want a Country... ” they decide to board a raft, envisioning a new country that will allow them to live as they deserve.
The central character is a dance of young people who dream, who "must dream; otherwise they will die sleepless," and who are determined not to give up the effort.
Will they finally reach this country?
