Kalamata Experimental Stage-A country two centuries later
Spread the word
The twelve-member university student theatre group of the Kalamata Experimental Stage invites you to enjoy Andreas Flourakis' extremely apt and comic play "A Country Two Centuries Later."
The play
March 2021. A peaceful group of citizens attend the 200th anniversary of the revolution of 21, which will be celebrated with glory and honours, despite the danger of the coronavirus, in a hall where, as it has been announced. The event is postponed, and instead of leaving, those people honour Greece with references to its past, historical truths and inaccuracies, wishes, games and large doses of humour. After all, who are modern Greeks? How different are we, and why? Can we live harmoniously, and how will we appease the spirits to "move forward"?
