The International Drama Short Film Festival travels to Kalamata

Spread the word

After the successful organisation of the 46th Drama Short Film Festival, DISFF travels to Kalamata for another year on Monday, 22nd July, with a selection of 5 award-winning short films. The screening will take place in the Kalamata Creative Documentary Centre welcoming space, and admission is free.
The films come from the National Competition Section of the Festival, including the film "Bear Hole" directed by Chrysianna Papadakis and Stergios Dinopoulos, which was declared the grand winner of the event, taking home the Golden Dionysus in the 46th edition. This top honour automatically secured them the coveted "ticket" to participate in the Oscar process. The film, a lesbian coming-of-age story in the Greek countryside, shot in Elati Trikala, describes the relationship between two young women in a village of Pindos - a relationship of friendship and underground romantic attraction that finally comes to the surface at a critical turning point in the lives of the two heroines. The film won, among other things, the award for Best Female Performance for Chara Kyriazi.
