Christos Thivaios and Panagiotis Margaris
Spread the word
On Friday, April 24th and Saturday, April 25th at the Municipal Cultural Centre of Kalamata.
Christos Thivaios and Panagiotis Margaris are coming to Kalamata for two unforgettable concerts on Friday, April 24th and Saturday, April 25th, at the Municipal Cultural Centre.
The two first met in 1997 during the recording of the now timeless song “How Much I Loved You,” performed by Christos Thivaios, with Panagiotis Margaris delivering an exquisite classical guitar performance.
Now appearing together on stage as “2,” and following a series of highly successful performances across Greece, they meet again in Kalamata. Through bold repertoire choices, improvisation, and the warm participation of the audience, they have created a programme filled with emotional, nostalgic, but also joyful and uplifting moments.
Christos Thivaios’ unique interpretations, featuring his own songs from the era of “Synithis Ypoptoi” as well as works by major composers such as Thanos Mikroutsikos and Vasilis Dimitriou, come together with Panagiotis Margaris’ remarkable compositions and exceptional virtuosity in solo pieces.
“2” is a musical performance where two musicians unite to create a show that feels like a shared experience, a kind of artistic interplay between the two eternal participants, the artists and the audience.
