On the occasion of World Childhood Cancer Day (February 15th) and World Cancer Day (February 4th), the Municipality of Kalamata, in collaboration with the NGO "Every Book is a Journey - We Travel by Book", the "Phaos" Cooperative, the "Primal Blood Cell", the Kalamata Nautical Club "Poseidon", the "Give Life", the SAEK General Association Messinia (Organic Unit of Kalamata) and the Hellenic Sailing Federation, are organising for the fifth consecutive year the voluntary action:
"Become a Child's Hero".
The action aims to raise awareness and support children suffering from neoplastic diseases, supporting the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer "Floga".
Why participate
For the first time, the action takes place before February 15th, coinciding with World Cancer Day (February 4th), emphasising that through a simple, painless movement, one can become a hero not only for children but for every person fighting their own battle with cancer.
