The Kalamata Mountaineering Club is organising a one-day hiking excursion on Sunday, June 7th, 2026, to the beautiful area of Lykodimos, combining traditional villages, lush vegetation, and the unique natural landscape of Polylimnio.
The route passes through olive groves, forest trails, and traditional settlements, offering an ideal opportunity to discover lesser-known corners of the Messinian countryside.
The hike will begin in Kastania, continue through the picturesque village of Romyri, and conclude at the enchanting Polylimnio, one of the most impressive natural destinations in Messinia, renowned for its waterfalls, lakes, and verdant surroundings.
Difficulty Level: 1+ (easy, suitable for beginners with good physical condition)
Hiking Duration: Approximately 5 hours
Departure: From the Club's headquarters on June 7th, 2026, at 7:00 AM
