For the third consecutive year, the Athens Concert Megaron returns to the impressive Ancient Theatre of Messina, one of the most emblematic archaeological sites of our country, to present an artistic event worth the trip.
On Saturday, July 11th, at 8:30 PM, the unique atmosphere of the ancient theatre becomes the ideal setting for the opera “Orpheus and Eurydice” — one of the most timeless and moving works of the operatic repertoire, by the Camerata Orchestra of the Friends of Music under conductor Giorgos Petrou.
The soloists in the opera are Teresa Iervolino, Maria Kosovitsa, and Marilena Striftombola. The Athens Chamber Choir participates under the direction of Agathangelos Georgakatos.
