Spread the word
With a screening programme that crosses continents and touches on some of the most pressing contemporary issues, the Creative Documentary Centre of Kalamata welcomes the month of March. With key themes such as International Women’s Day, environmental protection, the impact of war, and the digital age, Doc Cafe once again becomes an open window to the world.
A highlight of the month is the major two-day tribute to the acclaimed director Kleoni Flessa (“Women Pioneers in the Light”), which will take place outside the Doc Cafe at the Kalamata Philharmonic Amphitheatre on Saturday, March 7th, honouring the “unseen” women of Greek history.
At the same time, on March 20th, the Centre will participate in the international solidarity movement of UNIMA, screening films about the Palestinian puppeteer Mahdi Karira from Gaza.
