Our summer Mondays on Koutsomitopoulou pedestrian street are filled with melodies, memories, and authentic Greek artistry! As part of the "Thessaloniki Documentary Festival Travels" initiative, the Kalamata Creative Documentary Centre and the Peloponnese International Documentary Festival invite you to the screening of the documentary "Your Multiple Image" directed by Giannis Aggelakis and Andreas Siadimas.
This documentary offers an affectionate and insightful portrait of the Winter Swimmers (Cheimerinoi Kolymvites), a legendary and genre-defying music collective that has carved its own completely unconventional path in the Greek music scene for decades. Centred around the band’s charismatic founder and soul, Argyris Bakirtzis, the film takes us behind the scenes into rehearsals, spontaneous conversations, and live performances.
Rather than a conventional biography, the film serves as a warm meditation on long-standing friendship, artistic independence, and the unique way this group blends high poetry with folk tradition, and humour with melancholy. Through rare archival footage and delightful candid confessions, the film unfolds the "multiple image" of a band that remains eternally young, authentic, and deeply cherished.
