Creative Documentary Centre-Cinema and Environment
Spread the word

The Creative Documentary Centre announces the organisation of a series of educational workshops for children, under the general title "Cinema and the Environment." The workshops will be held in May and June and aim to raise children's awareness of environmental issues, promote sustainability, and strengthen teamwork through creative and educational initiatives.
The program includes two thematic sections:
1st PROGRAMME: ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVITIES
The first program includes a series of interactive activities that combine learning with entertainment:
Creating a Mini Garden (1 session, 1 hour): Children will create small gardens or flower beds, planting vegetables, herbs or flowers in pots. Through this activity, they will learn about plant care, the life cycle and the importance of biodiversity.
Neighbourhood or School Cleanup (1 session, 2 hours): Children will participate in cleanup actions in nearby parks or their school yards, collecting trash and learning about recycling. This activity aims to strengthen environmental awareness and teamwork.
Nature Observation (1 session, 2 hours): Children will organise nature walks to observe birds, plants and insects and record the species they encounter. This workshop aims to raise awareness of the need to protect local fauna and flora.
"Ecological Detective" Game (1 session, 1 hour): An interactive game with questions and riddles about ecology, where children will be invited to "solve" environmental mysteries. The game combines fun with learning.
Recycling and Reuse (1 session, 1 hour): Children will make objects from recyclable materials, such as pencil cases from boxes and decorations from plastic bottles. This activity will inform them about the importance of reducing waste and reusing materials.
Local Flora (1 session, 1 hour): Children will collect leaves and flowers from their area, dry them and create a flora. In this way, they will learn to recognise and appreciate the flora of their region.
Birdhouse Construction Workshop (1 session, 2 hours): Children will build small houses or bird feeders, using wood or recyclable materials. This workshop aims to raise awareness for the conservation of local fauna and the protection of birds from climate change.
