On Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, at 8:30 p.m., Elli Paspala will guide us through the city where she was born, New York, and take us on a captivating musical journey through its neighbourhoods and avenues. In her own unique way, she will bring to life the sound and atmosphere of authentic small jazz clubs, as well as the great composers she loves and continues to discover.
Joining Elli Paspala and co-creating this wonderful musical journey are two of the most distinguished musicians and leading representatives of the Greek jazz scene: David Lynch on saxophones, flute, and percussion, and Takis Farazis on the piano.
Together, they will transport us to neighbourhoods such as the Lower East Side, Spanish Harlem, Greenwich Village, and, of course, Astoria, through a program filled with beloved jazz standards by composers such as Porter and Gershwin, songs by native New Yorkers like Paul Simon and Billy Joel, as well as works by other celebrated composers and songwriters. Greek songs will also be featured, presented with the flavour and colour of New York City.
