Mozart and the Magic of Christmas

Kalamata is getting ready to put on its festive attire with a musical evening that promises to fill the hall with sparkle, imagination and the timeless magic of Mozart. The “Friends of Music of Kalamata” Association presents the performance “Mozart and the Magic of Christmas”, a Christmas artistic event that combines classical glamour with the warm atmosphere of the holidays.

At the centre of the evening will be the Athens State Orchestra, an ensemble with a long history and high prestige in symphonic music. The programme will include works by Franz Schubert, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Leroy Anderson, composers who have left their indelible mark on classical music and fit wonderfully with the spirit of the era.

Conductor Nikolaos Chaliasas, with experience and a dynamic stage presence, takes the musical direction. Soloist Chrysanthos Therianos, a talented young musician who has already distinguished himself for his sensitivity and technique, appears on the piano.

The event will take place at the Kalamata Dance Hall on Friday, December 19th, 2025, at 8.30 pm, offering the public an ideal opportunity to enjoy high art just before the holidays. Advance ticket sales will take place at the Kalamata Municipal Cultural Centre on Monday, December 8th, Tuesday, December 9th and Wednesday, December 10th. The admission price is 20 euros, while the reduced ticket costs 15 euros.
