A scientific forum serving as a dynamic and interactive platform for dialogue among key stakeholders and representatives from the academic and research community, producers, organisations, and agricultural policymakers.
Its main objective is to shape a new paradigm for Greek agriculture, based on the principles and practices of Agroecology, supporting the transition towards truly sustainable and resilient agri-food systems.
The Forum includes:
i) Keynote presentations by representatives of international organisations, including FAO, IFOAM EU, Agroecology Europe, and ECVC (European Coordination Via Campesina)
ii) Scientific sessions covering topics such as:
- Soil health
- Plant genetic resources
- Livestock production
- Plant protection
- Weed management
- Agricultural policies and rural development
- Innovation and agricultural applications
- Agri-food systems
- And other related topics
iii) A dedicated day focusing exclusively on agroecological approaches to olive cultivation
iv) Workshops
v) Roundtable discussions
vi) Field visits
The Forum is co-organised by ELGO-DIMITRA (Institute of Olive Tree, Subtropical Plants and Viticulture), the Agroecological Network of Greece, and the Nileas Agricultural Cooperative.
