Ovidiu, a financially struggling schoolteacher, dreams of a more comfortable life and a place in a society that seems to overlook him. When he meets a young woman and tries to impress her, he becomes entangled in a bizarre world of organised "charity," where compassion is turned into a profession and human need becomes a carefully staged performance.
Director Nae Caranfil delivers one of Romania's most beloved black comedies, blending sharp irony, keen social observation, and a masterful sense of the absurd.
