Kalamata Creative Documentary Centre-Five Seasons
Spread the word
A mystical experience about nature, beauty, and the passage of time.
On Friday, May 15th, the Kalamata Creative Documentary Centre invites audiences to a screening that may transform the way they see the world around them. The documentary by Thomas Piper takes viewers into the universe of Piet Oudolf, the visionary designer who redefined public spaces, including the famous High Line, and reshaped our relationship with green spaces.
The film follows Oudolf through the four seasons of the year, and a “fifth” season connected to the cycle of life, revealing his creative process, from his abstract sketches to the ecological significance of his ideas. It is an elegy to the beauty of decay and an invitation to notice what has long remained invisible.
With stunning cinematography and rare access to his gardens in Hummelo, Five Seasons: The Gardens of Piet Oudolf is far more than a documentary, it is an experience of serenity and visual poetry.
