The mountain settlement of Agios Athanasios is built at an altitude of 740 metres and is 47 kilometres from Kalamata.
Specifically, it is located at the southeastern end of Mount Tetrazio. There, the visitor can wander through the alleys of the small village and pay a visit to the temple of Agios Athanasios.
