WE RUN FOR THE FLAME (FLOGA)

The Municipality of Trifylia is organising a track and field training day for children and an adult race inside the Filiatra Stadium on Saturday, October 18th, 2025.
The track and field training day for children from infancy to 18 years old is dedicated to the children of "FLOGA". Participation is FREE, and is addressed to track and field athletes as well as students from the wider area, with the aim of evaluating the participants in view of the new racing year, getting to know the children among themselves, and providing moral support to the "FLOGA" Parents of Children with Neoplastic Diseases Association.

Each athlete can participate in 2 events, with age classification. All participants will receive a commemorative medal.

1-HOUR RUNNING RACE IN THE FILIATRA STADIUM
Start time 18:00 (fast race) and 19:10 (slow race).
The race is open to both experienced and well-trained runners.

The race will be held at the Filiatra Municipal Stadium track with a first course length of 400 m and a limited number of participants (90 runners in total in 2 races).
Two races will be held, one fast and one slower, depending on the participants' levels. The ranking will result from the electronic measurement of the distance that the runners cover within one hour.

The first six male and six female winners of the overall ranking will be awarded a cup. All finishers will also receive a commemorative medal.

A doctor will be present at the stadium.

The race will be held to support the “FLOGA” Parents of Children with Neoplastic Diseases Association, and there will be a symbolic participation of €5.00. The main goal of the action is to support the Association, so there will also be a piggy bank where each athlete or spectator can financially support the Association, as they wish.

Every step is a battle for life!!! Everyone should be at the Municipal Stadium of Filiatra on Saturday, October 18th. We will be there for the children of “FLOGA”!
