The first Kalamata children and teenage film festival is the result of the cooperation of the Parents and Guardians Association of the Municipality of Kalamata, the Association of Parents' Associations of the Municipality of Kalamata and the Filmhouse / New Kalamata Cinema Club, under the auspices of the Municipality of Kalamata and FARIS - Public Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Kalamata and comes annually to support and promote global creative film production for children, teenagers and their families.
As part of the first children's and teenagers' film festival, on Saturday 12/2/2023 at 17.00, a film workshop will be held at the Labour Centre of Kalamata entitled: "Making a film" with George Louridas.
The Kalamatian director and creator of the Agrinio Film Festival: "The Monologues of Leda", will introduce you, with the narrative help of the author Pantelis Floropoulos, to the cinematic narrative. In a 4-hour seminar, from 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm, young people aged 13-18 will learn to shoot and act in a movie scene.
Pantelis Floropoulos deals with fairy tales, which concern children and adults, having published five books so far, while he has published dozens of fairy tales in newspapers and magazines, as well as dozens of articles on folk and artistic fairy tales. He is the founder and publisher of "Araba" (1991 - 1997) and the weekly newspaper "Aggelia" in Agrinio from 2000 to 2017 and, since then, a regular contributor.
As part of the workshop, a short film will be shot that will be shown on the festival's last day.
