"The Koutsavitiki costume" Folklore Association

The "Koutsavitiki foresia (costume)" Folklore Association consists of members from the traditional villages of Ladas and Karveli. The Association aims to highlight the local costume and the area's archaeological and preserved monuments. Every year, the Association participates in several cultural events, one of which is the litany of the icon of the Savior in Kalamata.
In 2017, the Association held for the first time an event dedicated to the Koutsavitiki costume (also known as "Alatzas") in the small church of Prophet Ilias between the villages of Ladas and Karveli.
