S.P.O.K. EVKLIS organises the multi-league uphill cycling race with a mass start in cooperation with the Municipality of Kalamata, called "15th Mount Taygetos Ascent 2022", on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022, in Kalamata.
CATEGORIES: Men - Women - Masters (MEN-WOMEN) - Men's Sportive (Age Groups: 19 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50+).
The race is included in the competition programme of E.O.P. and gives a score to the individual and team ranking of the E.O.P.

ASSEMBLY POINT AND START OF PRE-DEPARTURE: 23rd March Square, Kalamata.
ROUTE: 23rd March Square (Pre-start) - city circle - Upper part of Kalamata Central Market (Start) - Kalamata/Sparti National Road - Taygetos Touristiko (Finish).
STARTING DISTANCE: 12.27 km from 23rd of March Square – Upper part of the Central Market of Kalamata.
RACE START: Upper part of the Central Market of Kalamata (after 12.27 km from the pre-start).
FINISH: Taygetos Touristiko (at 1350 m altitude) after 33 km.
TOTAL COURSE: 45.27 km. with 1280 m altitude difference.
PARTICIPATION: In the inter-club match, the participants must have an E.O.P card, active for 2022. All clubs that belong to E.O.P have the right to participate, with an unlimited number of athletes, in the Men's, Women's and Masters (Men-Women) categories.
In the Sportive category, those in good health and physical condition are eligible to participate. They will sign declarations (Article 8 of Law 1599 – 1986) upon receiving their number and are over 19 years old (born in 2003).
Cyclists with an active card for 2022, in the categories of the inter-club races, are not allowed to participate in the Sportive race.
Participants must have experience in road cycling and obey the organiser's rules regarding their protection and safety.
DECLARATIONS OF PARTICIPATION: The E.O.P. unions interested in participating in the inter-club match should send a statement of participation, stating the athlete's name and E.O.P. card number as well as their year of birth.
Also, in the participation declaration, each association's team leader will be mentioned. Any athletes participating in the Sportive category should also declare it to the email: [email protected] or phone at 27210-90627 and 697 425 2234 until Sunday 25/09/2022 at 21:00.
PARTICIPATION FEE: €15 for all athletes of all categories. The receipts should be deposited into the bank account with IBAN GR8601102200000022066026141.
Unions can collect participation fees for all their athletes. Individual payments must state their name as the reason. Any commissions - transaction costs are borne by the participants.

Race SECRETARIAT: The Secretariat will be open from 09:00 on the 23rd March Square of Kalamata. The captains of the teams will have to go to the Secretariat with their athletes' tickets to show tickets, pay the fee collectively per team, and receive the match numbers up to 60' before the start.
Cyclists will come to sign the race sheet, per category and per team, up to 15' before the start of their category, with their racing appearance and race numbers attached.
Cyclists participating in the Sportive category must arrive up to 60' before their start, with proof of identity and a Health Card or Medical Certificate of Sports Ability valid for the race date.
TECHNICAL CONFERENCE: The technical conference of the team captains will take place at 10:00 in the Secretariat area. The presence of the team leaders is mandatory.
REGULATIONS: The bicycle race will be held according to the rules of E.O.P. for Road cycling, as well as the circular of T.E. of E.O.P. 11/2022 Climbing Races.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: Support vehicles for Teams or individual athletes are not allowed. The Organiser will provide Technical Assistance from a Neutral Vehicle. There will also be a Technical Assistance zone, which will be announced at the Technical Conference.
TIME LIMIT: To be ranked, the participants must finish the race in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
PRIZES: In inter-club competitions: 1st winner Cup, medal, and certificate of participation and 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th medal and certificate of participation.
The MASTER's category will be awarded separately as sub-categories A ́- B ́- C ́- D ́ - WOMEN. The Sportive category will be awarded by age category (19 - 29), (30 – 39), (40 – 49) and (50+ years).
A necessary condition for creating an age category is that there should be at least six entries.
CASH PRIZE: Overall winner of the finish sprint, at the 33rd km = 100 euros.
The prize money will be awarded during the awards and in the Overall Ranking, regardless of which category the prize winner belongs to.
AWARDS: Touristiko Taygetos, at 14:00. The winners will arrive in their racing attire.
ANTI-DOPING CONTROL: If the National Anti-Doping Organisation decides on controls, there will be information for those involved, following the regulations of the EEA, the UCI and the EOCAN.
PENALTIES: The penalties mentioned in the E.O.P. regulations will be applied to the race and, if they are not provided, by the UCI.

All participants in the competitions in any form, athletes, coaches, attendants, spectators and all those involved in the organisation, accept as well as their personal information, the results of competitions with their performances, photos, and videos, to be given in print and electronic Press, in the electronic media of networking and communication and to be processed by the organiser of the race and its co-organisers.
All participants take part at their own risk or obligation for any accident, damage, loss, or destruction of racing equipment, clothing, bicycles, etc.
