Events dedicated to the great Greek poets Dionysios Solomos and Andreas Kalvos

The Municipality of Kalamata and K.E. "Faris" are planning two consecutive events dedicated to the two progenitors of modern Greek poetry, Dionysios Solomos and Andreas Kalvos, as part of the March festive events. This is the first cycle of reference in their gigantic work.
The event for Dionysios Solomos will take place on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024, at 8:00 p.m., at the Philharmonic Hall of the Municipality of Kalamata, 25 Ypapantis Str.
Professor Giorgos Andriomenos, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Cultural Studies, University of Peloponnese, will speak on the topic "Aspects of Solomic nationalisation".
Dimitris Kosmopoulos, poet and essayist responsible for the Planning of Speech and Letters artistic activities of K.E. FARIS, will read characteristic excerpts from Dionysios Solomos' work.
Then, on Thursday, March 28th, 2024, at 8:00 p.m., at the Amphitheatre of the Philharmonic of the Municipality of Kalamata, the poet Andreas Kalvos event will occur.
Speakers:
-Dimitris Arvanitakis, Dr. of Modern History, head of the Benakis Museum's publications department and curator of the publication of Andreas Kalvos' Answers, by the Benakis Museum, on the theme "Andreas Kalvos among the antinomies of our time".
-Euripides Garantoudis, professor of Modern Greek Literature at EKPA, on the topic: "Kalvos today: A Greek, self-exiled among us".
-Vaggelis Chatzivasiliou, Essayist, Literature Critic: "The Andreas Kalvos' Correspondence".
