EFKLIS-In the heart of Mount Parnon: Tsintzina or Polydroso

On Sunday, September 17th (07:00-20:00), the "Efklis" Kalamata Hikers - Mountaineers Association organises a hike on the magical paths of Mount Parnon on which Tsintzina or Polydroso extend, at an altitude of 1050 metres. In Tsintzina, the participants will have the opportunity to admire the cobbled alleys, squares, small bridges, the village’s springs with flowing water, the traditional architecture, the Byzantine churches, etc.
The circular walking route is 10.34km and starts from the village. Then, the participants will walk along a path on the northeastern slopes, through a dense plane forest parallel to the river. They will also pass by the Saints Anargyroi Monastery through shady paths of a dense forest overgrown with firs, black pines and numerous springs with floating water.
Difficulty degree: A’
Walking hours: 4 (+/-) stops included.
Suitable for beginner hikers in good physical condition.
Meeting point: At 07:00 at the back of the Association’s offices, in front of the 24th Primary School entrance.
Cost: 22 euros (members-students-children) and 25 euros (non-members).
