The "Efklis" Kalamata Hikers and Mountaineers Association is hiking on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023, in an oak forest at the stream of Agia Theodora and Chranoi in Southwest Arcadia.
The group will hike with friends from S.A.O.O. Tripolis and get to know the 5th stone Safflas Railway Bridge in Chranoi.
Its history is directly connected to the old train, which made the Athens - Corinth - Nafplio - Kalamata route.
The railway line bisects the village.
The Railway Station opened in 1899 and, unfortunately, stopped working, like most trains, in 2011.
Chranoi Megalopolis is located on the border with Messenia, at an altitude of about 500 metres, 4 km west of Paradeisia and 13 km southwest of Megalopolis.
