Companions in NATURE-Foneas or Noupantis Gorge

The inhabitants of the villages built near the Foneas Gorge (Saidona, Exochori, Proastio) call it "Noupanti" because they say that in the past, meetings (nea apantimata) took place there when matchmaking was in progress.

The Foneas Gorge is full of caves, many of which are inaccessible. In one of them, in the 1970s, a vase from the Geometric era was found, and it now adorns the archaeological museum of Athens.

There are many wildflowers and aromatic plants inside the ravine, which is overgrown with laurels and trees.
It is a canyon that hides surprises and that lovers of canyons will surely love...
The group will start from the village of Saidona and end up at the beautiful killer beach between Stoupa and Kardamyli. It was named so because several people and animals had drowned trying to cross the foaming stream before the bridges were built.
There, you will swim and then have lunch in a local tavern.

EQUIPMENT: Glasses, hat, sports shoes or hiking boots. Backpack with water and light food. Windbreaker or jacket, second change of clothes, and second pair of sports shoes. During the winter months, always have a waterproof and, of course, your pharmacy kit.
